Forum Title: I'm tempted not to prime...
...gutters and storm doors (factory finish), and PVC (previously unpainted). But I always do. But I have done numerous test spots on these surfaces with finish paint after scuffing (the day before priming) and they have ALWAYS passed the finger nail test or better. Always VERY difficult to get the finish coat to scratch off. My gutters need some paint. I may test it out. Anyone ever skip priming these surfaces? Sent from my iPhone using PaintTalk.com

I'd be inclined to prime those doors before the gutters if the doors are only a factory primer. If they both have factory finished paint, you could de-gloss and skip priming altogether.
